New Media Cincy Meetup, Saved by Twitter Updates.
Written by Brian Monahan on September 21, 2008 – 10:30 am -New Media Cincinnati hosted a meetup yesterday at The Pub a Rookwood Mews. This was an alternate location due to the lingering power outages around Cincinnati. We originally were to meet at Buffalo Wild Wings in Hyde Park.
I thought it was cool that I was in the area of BWW on Friday and noticed the blackout. I was able to Twitter Daniel Johnson Jr. who organizes the New Media Cincy meetup and the alternate location was chosen and announced via Twitter updates.
This is what is very cool about the Social Media experience and a lesson for much larger events.
